The distribution of the deposits of cobaltmanganese ore crusts is investigated by the GIS technology. Are built the empirical dependence of the activity of ore process on the depth, pH of the water, geomorphology of the relief of the surface of guyot. Using GIS of technology and revealed regularities in the work it is built the forecast model of the formation of cobaltmanganese ore crusts for the guyot Butakova Magellan seamountains of Pacific Ocean. Model confirms hypothesis about the predominantly hygrogenic origin of cobaltmanganese ore crusts and that the fact that the position of the oxygen minimum in the elevation of water layer was that determining the activity of the formation of crusts by major factor.
