After catastrophic earthquake on December 26, 2005 M=9.0 in
the South-Eastern Asia scientific expeditions were sent to
the area which was affected by tsunami. Their purpose was
to study complex assessment of tsunami consequences. This
paper presents data and previous results of the international
tsunami survey team of UNESCO to the northern Sumatra and
neighboring islands.
