The questions of localization, genesis, morfo-structural, geological, volcano-structural and other features of volcanoes of neogene-eopleistocene age of the Kamchatka Peninsula are considered. The special attention is given to age of active volcanic activity of the considered period. The brief retrospective review of representations about volcanoes, geophysical characteristics of separate paleovolcanoes is given.
