Dear Colleagues and Friends!

For those of you considering attending JKASP 2011 in Kamchatka ,
we'd like to remind you that the requests for invitation letters should be submitted by May 1, one month from now. We would like to encourage you to arrange your travel to the meeting as early as possible. During the recent decade Kamchatka transformed into a prime tourist destination and it might soon become problematic to purchase tickets to the exact dates of the meeting as several events will take place in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at approximately the same time. 

Hotel accommodation: We anticipate more than 100 participants and therefore decided to book the entire Flamingo Resort located 46 km of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at the bank of the Paratunka River .

The resort accommodates 75 people; information about resort can be found at www.kamchatintour.ru/Gallery/fotoFlamingo/default.aspx. The room prices vary from 4000 rubles per person for a single room to 1200 per person for a 4-bed room based on 4-people occupancy. In addition, we have reserved 4 two-story cottages nearby that can accommodate up to 4 people.  Each of the cottages includes two double-bed rooms, kitchen and a living room. The cottages are equipped with electric stove and plates.  The cottage cost is 8000 rubles or 2000 rubles per person.  The resort amenities include hot springs . Although there is a public transportation available for guests of the resort, the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology will provide free transportation for JKASP 2011 participants.
